Have you found that the line spacing is more than it used to be in Word 2007? The problem is that the default padding for Word 2010 is 10. We recently had a discussion about this on our IVAA (International Virtual Assistants Association) forum.

Go to the Page Layout Ribbon, then under the Paragraph group, click on the little arrow within the box on the bottom right corner of this group. The box will expand. Notice that the spacing “After” box says 10 pt. Change that to 0 and then click on the “Set As Default” button below and it will ask  if you want that choice for the current document or all documents based on the Normal template. If you choose the latter, the next time you open Word, the problem is gone. It will default to 0 padding.
